2012 NFL Free Agency: Redskins Officially Re-Sign London Fletcher
It's official: London Fletcher, the ageless tackling-machine, has re-signed with the Washington Redskins.
The move comes as no surprise, as reports surfaced over the weekend that the deal between the two sides was nearing completion. Fletcher has long been the face of the Redskins defense and the leader of a roster that has not had many in recent years.
While the details of the contract remain unknown (UPDATE: Fletcher reportedly agree to a two-year deal that will pay him a total of $10.75 million), Fletcher's return instantly improves an already productive Redskins offseason—one that has been highlighted by the trade to move up to the No. 2 overall selection in the draft.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Fletcher's durability and production are unmatched, as he has played in 224 straight games (he's never missed a game due to injury) and has recorded over 100 tackles in each of the last 12 seasons. For his career, he has 1782 tackles, 34 sacks and 18 interceptions.
In 2011, he finished with an NFL-best 166 stops, including 90 solo tackles. His instincts and ability to defend the run remain exceptional, and he'll once again quarterback a solid Washington defense in 2012.
The 14-year veteran was not drafted after his career at John Carroll University in Ohio. He has spent the past five seasons with Washington after four in St. Louis and five in Buffalo.
He started for the Rams during their victory over the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV.
