Frenz of the Family: Links to the Best in AFC East Coverage, April 13 Edition
The Internet runs amok with mock drafts this time of year, but we understand there are more things going on than just that. So we're trying to spread the coverage out a bit more. My main focus on the AFC East blog has been the draft, so here are some things that slipped through the cracks...and yes, a little draft info, too.
Also, here's to a snappy new headline. There are just too many plays on words with my last name.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
B/R Patriots featured columnist Marc Freshman has his list of six Patriots players most worthy of a long-term extension. Not many surprises on this list, and the Patriots should consider getting more proactive about getting these deals done as opposed to waiting the last minute (see also: Wilfork, Vince; Mankins, Logan; Welker, Wes).
Linebacker Dane Fletcher, running back Kevin Faulk and wide receiver Matthew Slater made an appearance at Hasbro Children's Hospital on Thursday, and for a charity event, a lot of news came out.
Fletcher had the cast taken off his thumb according to Mike Rodak of ESPN Boston, and Faulk is training to come back for a 14th season according to Mary Paoletti of Comcast SportsNet New England.
Miami Dolphins
B/R Dolphins featured columnist Alex Miglio takes an in-depth look at some recent seven-round Dolphins mock drafts.
Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald writes that if teams are looking for a player who can start this year, they should target an offensive tackle or a linebacker. According to his in-depth research, those positions start most frequently in their rookie year.
New York Jets
Rich Cimini of ESPN New York writes about why cornerback Darrelle Revis could potentially create yet another contract problem for the Jets, referring to the previous contract as a "Band-Aid contract."
Quarterback Mark Sanchez may have made off-the-cuff remarks about his status as the team's leader, but tight end Dustin Keller is buying into it. In fact, according to Jenny Vrentas of the Newark (N.J) Star-Ledger, he expects Sanchez to lead the team workouts in the offseason.
Buffalo Bills
Defensive coordinator Dave Wannstedt only assumed his new post just over two months ago, and already his name has been connected to the newly vacant Arkansas head coaching job. Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News has the story.
The Bills were able to improve their defense in the meantime, and as a result of their free-agent spending, ticket sales have boomed, per the Associated Press. Unlike the Jets trading for quarterback Tim Tebow, the Bills' offseason moves helped sell tickets and addressed a position of need.
B/R NFL Draft lead writer Sigmund Bloom places odds on the Bills' options in the first round. Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd's positioning on this list might surprise some.
