WrestleMania 28 Results: WWE Stars Who Will Benefit Most from 'Mania

Tim DanielsJun 7, 2018

After all the hype and speculation, another WrestleMania has come and gone leaving the WWE to figure out where to go from here. Certain superstars boosted their stock based on the results of the marquee pay-per-view, which should lead to big things in the coming months.

Let's examine three stars who will benefit the most from Sunday's outcomes. As always, a lot more than winning goes into figuring out which wrestlers will be given a boost moving forward.

The Miz

It was a rough couple months for The Miz leading into WrestleMania. After his storyline with R-Truth disintegrated he was torn down through a series of losses. He was eventually added to the card late, and picked up the pin for Team Johnny.

That should be more than enough to get one of the company's top heels back on track. The main-event picture has been cluttered by guys like The Rock and Undertaker over the past month, but now that they're gone, things should open up for The Miz.

He always draws a terrific crowd reaction and, by making him look weak, the WWE has set him up for a monster run sometime this summer.

Daniel Bryan

There aren't many circumstances when you can say somebody who lost an 18-second squash match will benefit from the result. In Bryan's case, however, it allowed him massive amount of support to shine through as chants for him were heard throughout the night.

They continued on Raw, proving fans were enjoying his title run and the heel turn that came along with it. He isn't the most exciting superstar by any means, but it seems like people truly enjoy the underdog story attached to him becoming champion.

Now that Vince McMahon has gauged exactly how popular Bryan has become, it shouldn't take long for him to overcome the loss and head back toward the top. Usually a loss like that would take months of rebuilding.

CM Punk

What a difference one year can make. At last year's WrestleMania, CM Punk lost to Randy Orton and nobody had any idea a monster push was on the horizon. Now he's become the WWE's biggest star, with no end in sight to his rapid rise.

His title reign was already over 130 days long walking into 'Mania, which made it seem like Chris Jericho might emerge victorious to change things up a bit. Instead, Punk was allowed to retain his title in an awesome match.

It proved McMahon and Co. are comfortable with him leading the way. That should mean things should continue to look up for Punk for the foreseeable future.
