Brock Lesnar's Return on Raw and What It Means for the WWE
Brock Lesnar has returned to the WWE in dramatic fashion, taking out John Cena at the conclusion of tonight's Raw.
Cena came out to the ring, first telling the crowd he would not be turning heel as most people thought he would, and instead, wanted to congratulate The Rock for a great match and victory.
Instead of Rock coming out one more time, however, the crowd began chanting "We Want Lesnar." Cena would laugh it off a few times, but, eventually, Lesnar's music hit and the monster walked down to the ring, soaking in the moment of his return and the crowd's reaction to it.

After circling the ring, sizing up Cena, Lesnar entered, staring down his former adversary. Rather than blatantly hitting Cena upside the head, Brock extended his hand for a shake between two former foes. Cena, happy-go-lucky as ever, extended his hand as well, but was met with a subsequent F-5 to end the show.
Now, the question still lies: what does it all mean?
Well, we've known for some time now that Lesnar has signed back on with the WWE and had been rumored to rejoin his former workplace after leaving UFC after an embarrassing defeat in his final contest.
Upon learning about the signing, fans rejoiced and began to speculate just when the former fan favorite would be brought back to action, some stating he should have intervened at WrestleMania in some capacity. Unfortunately for those fans, nothing came to and were left to continue to wonder "when will he return?"
Lesnar's return could mean a number of things, but the most obvious choice would be that John Cena now has a new obstacle to focus on now that his feud with The Rock is finally over. After a year of focusing on the Once in a Lifetime event, Cena can now move on to what is presented in front of him, a new obstacle if you will.
And there is no bigger obstacle than the monster Brock Lesnar.
Whether or not Brock's targeting of Cena was merely a statement or not will have to wait to be answered until next week, as it seems unlikely that Brock will make an appearance on SmackDown.
Having Lesnar back gives the WWE something big to start pushing onto fans now that their big spectacle is over, helping them move forward in what is normally the transition period of creative storytelling.
One thing is for sure, Lesnar is here to make his mark once again. If his first night was any indication, we could be in for a treat.
