Tim Tebow: Potentially Failed Trade Shows New York Jets' Incompetence
Just when we all thought Tim Tebow was coming to the New York Jets to be their savior of sorts, it turns out the trade with the Denver Broncos might have hit a ridiculous snag.
First, Adam Schefter of ESPN broke the news that the trade was going down, with the Jets giving up two picks for Tebow's services.
"Denver traded quarterback Tim Tebow to the NY Jets."

But now, it seems the trade might not go through because of the Jets' failure to read his contract, and Tebow might not be coming to the Big Apple after all. It has to do with extra money the Jets will owe the Broncos that they were unaware of when they agreed to the trade.
Schefter also tweeted the unusual news:
"Filed to ESPN (1): Denver and Jets have encountered hangup in language in Tim Tebow's contract that could nullify trade."
As bizarre as this all is, I can't say I'm totally shocked at these developments.
New York has had their fair share of personnel problems during the tenure of this current management and coaching regime, and Tebow's situation is just another perfect example of how they do business.
After a year of underachieving, back-stabbing and overall hating going on in the locker room, the Jets wanted to bring in Tebow to change that perception of them and add another piece to their offense that could help quarterback Mark Sanchez and perhaps even push him.
This is on the heels of the Jets front office handling the Peyton Manning situation poorly. That, of course, was when New York was denied by Manning after showing interest and then handed Sanchez a generous contract extension to makeup for it.
It's no wonder this team can't get out of their own way, and this Tebow trade is another perfect example of such. They can't even get deals done that their fans don't want, let alone the ones that they do want.
