Tim Tebow Traded to New York Jets: Trade Analysis, Grade and Twitter Reaction
According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the Denver Broncos have traded Tim Tebow:
"Breaking news: Ny Jets have just traded a 4th round pick for Tim Tebow
—Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) March 21, 2012"
This comes as no surprise for a few different reasons. Nonetheless, it seemed inevitable after the Broncos had signed Peyton Manning earlier this week.

Trade Analysis
This is a good trade for both teams. However, the Broncos got the better end of the deal. It's a good move by the Jets, because with new Offensive Coordinator Tony Sparano, Tebow's ability to run the wildcat package will pay great dividends.
From 2006 to 2010, the Jets had Brad Smith, who had multiple uses as a receiver, return man, read-option quarterback, and the ability to setup from under center. Now, Tebow's skill set is limited to quarterback and maybe tight end.
Nonetheless, Gang Green got a dynamic player along the same lines as Smith that provides a distinct advantage in the AFC East. Plus, if all else fails, Tebow could potentially takeover for Mark Sanchez.
As for Denver, the Broncos get a fourth-round selection, which is a higher pick than expected. Tebow was slated to be dealt for no more than a fifth-rounder, so one round higher suffices even more.
With a deep draft at receiver and cornerback, the Broncos can make excellent use of another mid-round selection. It's a win-win for both sides, but Denver got a slightly better deal, although Tebowmania now resides in arguably the biggest market the world over.
Grade: Jets B, Broncos B+
