Tim Tebow Rumors: Why Jaguars Are an Ideal Fit for Broncos QB
Now that Peyton Manning has made his choice and will be headed to the Denver Broncos shortly, current quarterback Tim Tebow's future will most likely be with another franchise.
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Broncos will try to trade Tebow once Manning's signing becomes official. One would have to believe that the Jacksonville Jaguars will be in the mix to sign him, and that could be an ideal fit for both sides.
The Jaguars traded up six spots to select Blaine Gabbert with the No. 10 pick in the 2011 NFL draft—by midseason he was the team's starting quarterback. But the Missouri product had a dismal rookie season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In 15 games Gabbert completed just 50.8 percent of his passes in 2011 for 2,214 yards, with 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. His passer rating of 65.4 ranked dead last among the three quarterbacks who qualified league-wide. One thing worth noting is that the only NFL player with a lower completion percentage last season was Tebow (46.5).
While the Jaguars have invested a lot in Gabbert, the measureables of a quarterback like Tebow would actually fit their run-centric offense much better. With Maurice Jones-Drew running the ball and no standout wide receivers, Jacksonville may not need a franchise-type signal-caller under center.
Tebow grew up and played college football in Florida and is wildly popular in the area. After a tough 5-11 season, the Jaguars need something to energize their fanbase and get some buzz going around the team.
Bringing Tebow in would at least give some hope to a Jacksonville franchise that has struggled for the past few years and get some league-wide attention for the Jags. Heck, after seeing what he did in Denver, maybe a playoff run wouldn't be totally out of the question.
