NFL Rumors: Miami Dolphins Adding Matt Flynn Would Be a Good Move
If you're a Dolphins fan these past few days haven't been too exciting. You trade your best wide receiver in Brandon Marshall for picks to the Chicago Bears. You lose out on the Peyton Manning sweepstakes.
Now what do you have to look forward to?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Adding Flynn would be a good move after failing to land Manning. According to James Walker of ESPN, the Dolphins are the leading candidates.
Miami turns from potentially signing a future Hall of Famer to signing a former seventh-round draft choice who has made only two starts in his NFL career.
I get it.
However, it was going to be difficult to bring Manning to the Dolphins given the fact that there were several other candidates anyway; the probability wasn't high for the Dolphins to sign him. Flynn was a great backup plan.
Depending on how much money you give Flynn, the former LSU quarterback is a great risk-reward type of free agent. His potential ceiling from sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for four seasons and watching one of the best quarterbacks in the league could do him wonders.
Flynn's two starts in the NFL were not just good—they were great. In 2011, Flynn went 31-for-44 for 480 yards passing and six touchdowns against the Detroit Lions.
In his other start at New England, Flynn passed for 251 yards and three touchdowns.
In his two starts combined, Flynn only threw two interceptions.
This guy has the potential to become a really good quarterback if he lands in the correct place.
Flynn is still only 26 years old. His best days are potentially ahead of him.
Even though I liked how Matt Moore played last season, adding Flynn to run the show would be a good idea for the Dolphins. His reward factor is high, and the quarterback position is exactly teams in the NFL are looking to secure long term.
With Flynn being 26 years old, he could become a great quarterback for several years. Miami should take the risk because...what other options do they honestly have?
