Cincinnati Bengals to Host Free Agent RBs BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Michael Bush
With running back Cedric Benson an unrestricted free agent and the Cincinnati Bengals making no overtures to bring him back for another season, the team will need to make additions at the position both in free agency and next month's draft.
After a quiet Tuesday, it looks like the Bengals are ready to take a look at two of the top running backs on the free-agent market, Michael Bush and BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
Bush saw his stock rise after filling in admirably for injured Oakland Raiders starter Darren McFadden, taking on 20 or more carries per game without faltering. He ultimately rushed 256 times for 977 yards and seven touchdowns last year and also contributed in the passing game, with 37 receptions for 418 yards and a score.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Green-Ellis is a more one-dimensional player, useful in third-down, short-yardage and goal-line situations, but not a blisteringly fast running back who can be effective in any situation like Bush, and his 2011 numbers reflect that.
Green-Ellis rushed 181 times for 667 yards and 11 scores in the New England Patriots' pass-heavy offense in 2011, but caught just nine passes for 159 yards, indicating he's clearly not as versatile than Bush.
Either player would be a smart addition for the Bengals, though Bush certainly has the edge. Green-Ellis would come with a lower price tag, but with nearly $40 million in available cash, even a big-money deal with Bush wouldn't necessarily break the Bengals' bank.
Bush would also assist them in building the multidimensional passing attack that they lacked with Benson as their primary back.
The Bengals are also scheduled to meet with cornerback Terence Newman and defensive lineman Kendall Langford this week.
