NFL Rumors: Joining New York Jets Would Be Ultimate Revenge for Brandon Jacobs
Brandon Jacobs is already starting to explore new options after being released by the New York Giants. There would be no better way for Jacobs to get revenge on his former team than to join the crosstown rival Jets and fellow loudmouth Rex Ryan.
Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports it's a scenario Jacobs is definitely considering after seven seasons with the Giants. The running back also said there wouldn't be any problems between him and Ryan despite some verbal exchanges in the past.
""I got about three good ones left in me, no question ... guaranteed three more years left in me," he told The Post, and said he wouldn’t mind spending his remaining years with Ryan’s Jets.
"I would love to do that," Jacobs said. "It would be an opportunity for me to not have to relocate. I got to do what’s best for my family. Whichever team it is, I think is going to be a lucky team. I got a lot left in me, got a lot to offer."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jacobs would be the perfect addition to a Jets running game that didn't live up to expectations last season. Shonn Greene only produced average numbers. His backups, most notably over-the-hill back LaDainian Tomlinson, didn't bring much to the offense.
Even though Jacobs will be 30 by the time Week 1 rolls around, he should still have a couple more seasons left in him. He's a bigger back than most, so he should be able to endure more hits before breaking down.
Along with adding some much-needed depth, the Southern Illinois product would provide a perfect second option to Greene.
The Jets could utilize him early to break down a defense or late after the defense is tired. Jacobs is tough to drag down when you're working with fatigued legs. Not to mention he's a nice safety net to have in case Greene were to go down with an injury.
While those in-game implications are what the Jets would be considering, Jacobs himself would probably love to stay in New York. He's a fiery competitor, and nothing would please him more than helping a Jets resurgence to show the Giants what they let go.
He's scored 36 touchdowns over the past four seasons, so it's not like he stopped putting up numbers.
Getting cut will only add more fuel to his internal fire moving forward. He'll be running with a purpose next season, no matter where he lands.
Ryan isn't above making moves just to irk the Giants, either. Actually, he probably loves doing it. So bringing Jacobs in would certainly seem like his type of move.
It would appear to be a perfect fit for everybody. Even if things didn't work out on the field, Ryan and Jacobs would still be a great comedy duo.
