Why the Cleveland Browns Must Trade Up for RGIII
The universe has lined up events for the Cleveland Browns to finally get the playmaker to the franchise out of the muck; the only question now is whether Mike Holmgren and Tom Heckert will follow through the opportunity they have been given.
The Browns have tried many angles to be competitive, resulting in zero playoff wins, now it's time to build around a playmaker who will energize the team and fanbase and create excitement.
Last year, the Atlanta Falcons became so smitten with Julio Jones that they gave two first-round picks, a second, and two fourths to the Browns for their No. 6 overall pick. The Browns have now had 10 first- and second-round picks in the last three drafts. It's time to shoot for quality and leave the quantity strategy behind.
