Washington Redskins Must Pull the Trigger on Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne Deal
The Washington Redskins need two things this offseason: a starting quarterback and a No. 1 receiver. They can get both in one fell swoop if they are willing to spend the money.
Peter King is now suggesting that Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne is willing to follow his long-time quarterback, Peyton Manning, if Manning hits the free agent market. Neither Wayne or Manning is expected to be back in Indianapolis and they could continue their prolific relationship in another city. Washington should be willing to try and make this work.
If Manning can somehow convince the Redskins that he will return fully healthy in 2012, a package deal for these two guys would fit the team's needs perfectly. Washington would immediately get an established field general and his favorite target.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Wayne and Manning may be past their primes, but in the short-term, the combination would make the Redskins much better. Pairing those two with tight end Fred Davis and running back Roy Helu would give Washington an outstanding offensive unit.
Let's face it, the Rex Grossman-John Beck combination didn't get much done in 2011, and the team's current wide receiver tandem of Jabar Gaffney and Santana Moss isn't scaring any defensive backs. Even on the downside of their careers, Manning and Wayne are a serious upgrade over those guys.
Manning and Wayne would apparently love to play together in the future and given how great they have been as a tandem, it stands to reason they could have a few more good years left in the tank.
If Manning can prove he is healthy, the Redskins should try to make a move for the four-time MVP and his favorite target.
