WWE: 24 Other Celebrities We'd Love to See CM Punk Pick a Fight with
Suddenly, Twitter is the way to go if you want to start trouble and pick a fight.
The war of words or tweets between Chris Brown and CM Punk is making headline news and causing a stir not only in Hollywood, but also in the WWE.
Call it a little bit of mainstream conscience.
But with the tweets and the "he said, he said" crap that comes along with it, the need to keep it up and entertain the masses becomes that much more important. You can't leave a good moment like this alone, can you?
And we all know CM Punk can stir the pot and give a raucous interview when it's needed. He is legendary for opening his mouth and letting the froth our out. But by the same token, so are these celebrities.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
1 of 24"Money" started a fight with Big Show a few years ago, and the two feuded. Mayweather, a supreme knockout artist, proved to be every bit as good as advertised.
Now, Mayweather faces legal issues and keeps avoiding Manny Pacquiao. The confidence Mayweather exudes is pretty cool. But he may not be a match for Punk and his uberconfidence.
Steve Austin
2 of 24Could this war of words lead to a confrontation in the near future?
Austin was the first "anti-hero," and it seems Punk is the current one.
Both are showstoppers, and both are two of the best mic men EVER.
Tim Tebow
3 of 24Could someone finally say something that pisses this kid off?
Tebow is a mother's dream.
Something tells me Punk is a mother's nightmare.
Tebow and Punk live a pretty clean lifestyle, but somehow, the Broncos quarterback could say something or act too much like a "goodie two shoes" for Punk's taste.
The Rock
4 of 24During the infamous "shoot," Punk made a comment that "Dwayne" was the biggest suck-up ever in the WWE.
If that was not enough to star a war of words and comments, I guess nothing is.
Lady Gaga
5 of 24She always has something to say. People either like what she spews or it pisses them off.
My bet here is she cannot contain her mouth and makes the WWE Champion a little mad.
Jesse Ventura
6 of 24Jesse, the former governor of Minnesota, has been pretty quiet lately.
But back in the day, his mouth skills were better than his wrestling skills.
Punk would be on even footing if the two ever got into a war of words and face-to-face.
Kyle Busch
7 of 24The villain of NASCAR cannot seem to keep his mouth shut.
I could see the two of these guys talking about athletes who were celebrity wrestling like Celebrity Royal Rumble of years past.
And from their conversation, Busch proves his maturity by backstabbing him through his Twitter account.
Rampage Jackson
8 of 24Jackson is one tough dude, and if there was to be an MMA guy who makes the jump to pro wrestling (sorry, Brock Lesnar), it could be Jackson.
Rampage has a fire that burns, and he loves to talk. He and Punk would be pretty good on the mic if they ever confronted each other.
Mike Tyson
9 of 24Tyson has been a fairly popular guy of late with his appearances in The Hangover movies. And we all know he was recently chosen to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
This could be something good.
Remember, Tyson was involved in a WrestleMania match with Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels, and he is still billed as the "Baddest Man on the Planet."
The "Baddest" battles the "Best" in terms of popularity. Not bad.
Tito Ortiz
10 of 24OK, can I just state the obvious?
Ortiz is one bad dude and a bad-ass MMA guy. But there is one reason I want to see these guys get face-to-face...
Jenna Jameson. Pure and simple.
Eminem
11 of 24One is from Detroit. The other is from Chicago.
Football, hockey, basketball and baseball. And wrestling above all.
Do I need to say anymore?
Mickey Rourke
12 of 24"The Wrestler" shuns Chris Jericho to mix it up with Punk.
Add that to the fueled fire between Jericho and Rourke.
Rourke used to be a decent boxer in his younger days, and while I could not see the two actually mix it up, standing toe-to-toe may be a little interesting.
Danny Bonaduce
13 of 24Danny Partridge has a big mouth, loves to box and gets into trouble all the time.
And he may provide a pretty decent battle of words with Punk.
Patridge once was walking a tightrope of his life and got himself clean and straight. He needs a little of that "Straight Edge" love to re-evaluate himself.
Punk wouldn't have an issue telling the childhood star what he needs to do or where he needs to go.
Chuck Norris
14 of 24If there were words exchanegd about hos Chuck Norris is better than Tim Tebow or Tim Tebow is better than Chuck Norris, can you see the exchanegs about Norris and how CM Punk compares to him?
How does Norris compete with the best in the world? He needs to wear CM Punk underwear.
Charles Barkley
15 of 24Whether on the basketball court, in the studio or on the screen or radio, Barkley is never at a loss for words.
The "Round Mound of Rebound" is now a spokesmen for Slim Fast. But given the chance to take a shot at someone like Punk on a Twitter account is something he could not pass up.
Barkley will talk a good game, but he may be outwitted by the Best in the World.
Charlie Sheen
16 of 24How could we make a list like this and not have Sheen on it?
With everything he has been through this past year, Sheen is everything Punk is not in the lifestyles they live.
It would certainly lead to a war of words.
And Punk could certainly teach Sheen a thing or two about "winning."
Kanye West
17 of 24Just imagine what happens if in the middle of a match, West the musical brat gets in the ring to cut off one of Punk's promos?
This isn't an acceptance speech like Taylor Swift gives. This is real business, and Punk would not take to kindly to having someone steal his spotlight.
Roddy Piper
18 of 24This HAS to happen.
CM Punk has a little Piper in him. This would be epic, and wrestling fans would flock to se this happen. The war of words could be as cool as a Piper/Ric Flair rendition from the early 1980s.
Hulk Hogan
19 of 24Hogan still has to be a media whore. And he is now using Twitter and social media to get his point across.
Hogan tries to build everything up as great, then goes backstage and off-camera to sabotage the things that are "working" in the business.
Couldn't you see this exploding if Hogan opened his mouth about Punk?
Dennis Rodman
20 of 24This one could be very comical.
Rodman is actually very laid back and stoic. Punk is a little more vibrant.
Could the two meet halfway? They certainly could discuss their tattoos.
Terrell Owens
21 of 24When athletes who want all the attention to themselves are quiet for a long period of time, it generally means they have grown up or are about to explode.
In this case, I am betting it is the latter.
Owens is playing indoor football right now, hoping to get back to the NFL. It must be a humbling experience. But the chance to bicker with CM Punk may get the old selfish juices flowing.
Bill Maher
22 of 24As a talk show host and an activist, Maher is never at a loss for words. He tried to pick apart Tim Tebow and did not have a lot of success.
What could he find fault with CM Punk over? Tattoos? His lip ring? His dress code? There are many things.
Go on, Punk, take the liberal to task.
Rosie O'Donnell
23 of 24She attacked Tom Selleck over gun control and Tom Cruise over his belief in Scientology.
She could make a case to jump into a war of words with CM Punk.
For some reason, I don't see brotherly love with this combination.
24. Elijah Burke
24 of 24In an article on wrestlinginc.com, Punk refers to Burke as his least favorite opponent.
"Does anyone even remember Elijah Burke?" Punk responds. "Oh, he was terrible. He is absolutely the worst. Absolutely the worst. Talk about a diva. Man oh man, sorry if you liked him."
Burke has never been at a loss for words. The talking would certainly be better than the wrestling.
