WWE News: Very Latest on The Rock's Backstage Heat in WWE
When The Rock returned to the WWE last year, he claimed that he was “home” and that he would never leave.
While I may not be the biggest John Cena fan, there is some merit to him calling The Rock out on the claim: The Rock was full of bologna, and while Cena competes in a WWE ring night in and night out, The Rock comes and goes.
Cena has made his thoughts on The Rock pretty clear, and as you might imagine, he’s not the only WWE superstar who has some beef with “The People’s Champ.”

"There is said to be "more than a few people" in WWE that are very angry about The Rock being featured so prominently at WrestleMania.
The feeling amongst the disgruntled talent is that The Rock does not work for WWE full time and is taking a valuable spot at the top of the card, when that spot could be used to elevate an up and coming full-time wrestler. The other side of the argument is that The Rock is a special attraction, should not be featured as a full-time performer and brings so much interest and extra pay-per-view buys that he more than covers his price tag and everybody earns more with The Rock on the card.
"
Look, I agree with Cena when he says that The Rock promised to stick around, only to leave the WWE again to focus more on his movie career.
But to be honest, I think all the hatred directed toward The Rock is a result of poor word choice than anything else. The Rock never should have said that he’s “never” going to leave the WWE again because that’s a claim he knew he couldn’t back up.
At the same time, though, almost no one sticks around the WWE forever. Are we going to be mad at Cena when he retires in 10 years and parts ways with the WWE?
No, we aren’t.
All this backstage heat directed toward The Rock is misplaced because the real heat should be on whoever brought him in. I doubt that The Rock called Vince McMahon and said, “Hey, can you stop pushing full-time talent and bring me in for a WrestleMania 28 match with John Cena?”
That didn’t happen. The Rock just agreed to guest host WrestleMania 27, realized how much he missed the business and then decided he wanted to get in the ring one last time.
Those directing their hatred toward The Rock need to chill out a little bit. The Rock is, as Triple H might say, good for business, and as a great businessman, Vince is going to bring a guy in he if can make the WWE a ton of money.
