NFL Rumors: Where Could Free Agent QB Chad Henne Land?
NFL teams in need of a top backup quarterback with starting experience might have one option in Chad Henne this offseason.
According to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Miami Dolphins are unlikely to re-sign Henne by the March 13 free agent deadline. A 32-game starter after Miami took him in second round of the 2008 draft, Henne will then become an unrestricted free agent—free to sign with whomever he pleases.
There should be several teams interested in bringing in the much-maligned quarterback from the University of Michigan.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here's a short list of teams that NFL insiders have tied Henne to early on in this process.
New York Jets
Kelly opined early in January that Henne might be an option for the Jets now that former Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano took over as New York's offensive coordinator. Henne would bring a comfort in Sparano's offense and could help push young but flawed quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Kansas City Chiefs
Bill Williamson of ESPN thinks Henne could be a fit with the Chiefs in 2012. As Williamson points out, the Chiefs want to bring in competition for Matt Cassel, with Kyle Orton and Jason Campbell as other possibilities. Also, Henne played under new Chiefs offensive coordinator Brian Daboll in Miami last season.
Denver Broncos
Tim Kavangh of ESPN connected Henne with the Broncos, who are in the process of acquiring both a rookie and veteran quarterback to push training camp starter Tim Tebow. Henne might have the ability to overtake Tebow sometime in 2012, so Denver should be an attractive option for Henne. The need and the fit work here for both sides.
Other teams to consider
Chicago Bears: Chicago found out the hard way in 2011 just how valuable a backup quarterback can be.
Washington Redskins: If the Redskins can draft the franchise future at quarterback sometime this April, bringing in Henne to bridge the gap isn't a terrible idea.
Seattle Seahawks: Henne could push both Tarvaris Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst for a starting spot in 2012.
