WWE Elimination Chamber Results: What We Learned from Beth Phoenix's Win
At WWE's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix defeated second-generation Tamina Snuka with the GlamSlam to retain her title and send her latest challenger packing.
It was a very impressive match, which saw the girls refreshingly attempt a hard-hitting, gripping wrestling bout, rather than your typical throwaway divas match.
Filled with some dramatic near-falls, there were also some big bumps, including a very nasty fall of the apron by Tamina in the early stages of the match, it was a heck of an effort from both women.

Undoubtedly, they should be praised for their effort and hard work in the thankless position (they were second on the show, coming right after the violent and incredibly brutal Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship and the crowd in the Bradley Center in Milwaukee was largely dead for their bout).
While Tamina put up a good fight, even delivering a cracking and awe-inspiring Snuka splash on Phoenix towards the end of the match, the Divas Champion ultimately prevailed delivering her powerful finisher on her foe for the one-two-three, ending the best women's match in WWE for quite some time.
So what have we learned from Phoenix's victory at the pay-per-view?
Well, first of all, while Tamina remains the most rapidly improving female worker on the roster, it seems WWE management are still reluctant to strap the rocket to her back and push her to the moon. This may be a fair decision: Tamina, talented as she is, is still very green and surely needs some extra time to improve and hone her skills.
Secondly, while Phoenix's run with the Divas Championship has been lukewarm and failed to catch on with the masses (considering her limited television time, this isn't really a surprise), WWE still have faith in "The Glamazon" and her ability to carry the division in the near future.
Phoenix's victory also suggests that the much-talked about Kharma/Phoenix match will be happening soon, possibly at WrestleMania next month. As most know, the former TNA Knockout shockingly re-emerged at the Royal Rumble after several months off, managing to eliminate SmackDown star Hunico and scaring off announcer Michael Cole before being eliminated by Dolph Ziggler.
She hasn't been seen or mentioned since, but she will almost certainly be popping up again on Raw soon and when she does, her eyes will likely be on the Divas Championship which has so far eluded her in her WWE run.
There wasn't much appeal in a Tamina/Kharma match, but a clash between Phoenix and Kharma, the two biggest female monster heels in wrestling, undoubtedly holds a great deal of appeal to fans and critics.
Summarily, while Phoenix's title reign hasn't exactly set the world on fire (putting it mildly), her victory at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view here strongly indicates things might be about to pick up, and she will be feuding with Kharma soon.
After a woeful period of limited television and laughably short matches, WWE's women's division may just be worth watching again.
