Arsenal-AC Milan: A Very Positive Result for the Gunners
I didn't watch a single ball being kicked yesterday.
I didn't see the non-verbal exchange that Jens shared with Paolo Maldini in the tunnel, I didn't hear the special atmosphere at the Grove, and I didn't see Eboue's supposed dive—nor Adebayor's header cannon off the crossbar.
And why, I hear you ask? Why indeed? Well, it's for the simple fact that the electricity board in the area I live in decided to switch-off the power five minutes before kickoff, and only switched it back on promptly after the end of the match.

As a result, I was deprived of a superb European game that had me tantalised days before it took place. Anyhoo, it finished 0-0 at Ashburton Grove between us and the red and black half of Milan—but it wasn't a dull games, despite the scoreline.
Hearty thanks to the Arsetard and Kedarse for those valuable updates, I'm very grateful indeed! As you can guess, all the information I have is hand me downs. If you, like me did miss any part of the game a complete match report is available, courtesy the kind sirs at .con
From what I gather the Arsenal had much the upper hand, with AC Milan having almost negligible forays upfront. Also I was informed that Kaka was contained by the the young Arsenal midfield. Also, It has come to Arseish's notice that we should have take taken a bit of a substantial lead into the second leg at the San Siro, but alas!.
I think that the result that panned out was a good one. I do know it would have given us a big advantage if we had gone into the second leg having scored some goals yesterday. However, the important thing as I had pointed out a few days ago was to prevent them from scoring, and we did that to a T yesterday. If we had conceded we would definitely be up against it. Having to go there and having to erase away goals would be nigh on impossible.
I think this result will fill our boys full of confidence ahead of the second leg.Arsene referred to our performance as a "nervous" one-
"I feel we played the game we wanted to play and created many chances,” he said of the 0-0 draw," said Wenger.
“We didn’t concede a goal, that’s quite positive for the second leg, but unfortunately did not make the most of our chances to score....We were a bit nervous maybe in the final ball, but overall we created many chances and played well.”

After the game Cescy who along with the Flamster put on a masterclass in midfield said-
"I think we should go home disappointed after the chances we created. We deserved more than we got tonight. We gave everything - but unfortunately sometimes in football you don't get what you deserve."
Cescy is very disappointed, glad to see the hunger the young lad possesses.Billy Gallas gave us an insight into his thoughts after the game, saying:
"They played very well and defended well. We had the chances to score but didn't do it. They are a big team and tonight they showed what they can do, but I think we have the chance to win in Milan. We know it will be very tough—and we have to be ready for a big fight."
A fight, oh yes—but I don't think the defending champs will roll over in their own lair.I don't know about you lot, but I'm extremely confident that we can do the job in the second leg. I think yesterday was a good European night for us.
Now the Premiership takes centre stage once more, with our game against Birmingham on Saturday. More on that later. Methinks we proved our immense potential yesterday, now to finish the job on March 4th!!
Have a good one Gooners!!
