Tom Brady Injury: Patriots QB Hurts Left Shoulder After Taking Sack
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady went down hard in the third quarter of the Super Bowl, and the word from Lucas Oil Field is that Brady may have hurt his left shoulder.
Ian R. Rapaport of the Boston Herald noted that team doctors were looking at Brady after he came off the field:
Rapaport also noted that backup quarterback Brian Hoyer started to warm up:

Luckily, Hoyer was not needed. Brady came right back in when the Patriots took over on offense after a field goal.
The Patriots are clinging to a 17-15 lead over the New York Giants.
What Does It Mean?
Patriots fans should look at it this way: it could be a lot worse.
It was clear just from looking at him that Brady was in pain after he was sacked by Justin Tuck, but the pain wasn't bad enough to force him from the game. Presumably, he's going to play through it for the rest of the game, which went to the fourth quarter shortly after he returned to action.
So for the time being, Brady's shoulder injury doesn't really mean anything.
What Happens Next?
Brady and the Pats have a game to finish, and you can rest assured Brady is going to be under center as long as he is able.
He will, however, be at risk. The Giants' pass rush has been held in check so far in this game, but it's just a matter of time before they start to break through.
If and when they do, Brady's left shoulder is going to be in trouble.
We shall see.
