Super Bowl Advertisements: Don't Forget to Check out Giants vs. Patriots
I'm sure you're all excited to tune in to NBC on Super Bowl Sunday to see Ferris Bueller, Darth Vader, Elton John and flash mobs.
But rumor has it that, of all the ads set to crawl across your TV screen, the NFL has the best and most entertaining commercial of all.
It's called Super Bowl XLVI.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The plot actually sounds pretty awesome. Four years after staging one of the greatest Super Bowl showdowns of all time, the New York Giants and the New England Patriots reprise their roles as football adversaries, out of the NFC and AFC, respectively, with the Vince Lombardi Trophy once again on the line.
This time around, though, the Pats, who were the obvious favorites in 2008, are considered slight underdogs by fans and experts alike, both of whom are once again drawing upon conventional wisdom.
Like most Super Bowl commercials done as reduxes of old movies, this one features the most prominent stars from the past edition, including a Jedi master (Tom Brady), a youngster in whom The Force is also strong (Eli Manning), a Sith lord (Tom Coughlin) and a Jawa (Bill Belichick).
And, as with most quirky commercial homages, the NFL's will include an anachronistic cameo from an incongruous celebrity (Madonna).
What's more, this particular ad, in which the Giants and Patriots are set to play big parts, will run about twice as long as your run-of-the-mill commercial and cost everyone a heck-of-a-lot more put together.
Best of all, you might actually enjoy the product that the NFL is pushing and decide to buy it later.
Football, that is—not more commercials.
Please not more commercials.
