Bill Belichick’s Favorite Sandwich
The Pats coach isn’t a flashy cook. He doesn’t have time to sit around and prepare meals. It’s a huge reason why he is a three-time Super Bowl winner.
If you are in a crunch for time, his simple approach in the kitchen is something you can copy and then spend more time watching the game.
Follow along with the instructional video for the “BB PB&J.”.
What You Need
Raisin bread (Bill’s mom used raisin bread and made the best ones)
Peanut butter (on both sides, for extra energy)
Jelly (Evenly spread over the PB, it won’t leak through)
Cutout molds (Bill likes a dog bone, but stars and other shapes will work)
Ron Swanson’s “Turkey” Burger
If you have ever seen NBC’s "Parks and Recreation," you know that Ron Swanson is a man’s man with a passion for red meat products. He’s also a successful coach and any educator at any level of any sport should follow his pyramid of greatness.
Ron is savvy with food as well, considering he invented the “turf-and-turf,” a 16-oz T-Bone and a 24-oz porterhouse, washed down with a glass of whiskey and a cigar. His favorite restaurant serves nothing but hot dogs and hamburgers.
Nick Offerman, the actor who plays Swanson, appeared on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" in order to show viewers how Ron would make his famous “turkey” burger.
Make sure you follow the specific instructions Offerman gives in the clip.
What You Need
Turkey leg (deep fried—“If it talks to you, it’s working”)
Five pounds of ground beef (buttered up, preferably, surrounding the turkey leg)
Loaf of rounded bread (griddle marks preferred)
Crosscut saw (to get a clean cut when done)
A moment of silence (for the first bite)
Big Dirty Manningwich (smothered in Brady Gravy)
This Super Bowl themed dish comes from our friends over at Epic Meal Time.
If your party is going to be all about “meat, liquor and friends,” as it should be, then you are going to need to prep some Big Dirty Manningwiches.
Check out the video to see exactly how to create this epic meal.
This should feed your entire party, as it weighs in at 15-pounds and contains 34,780 calories and 2,700 grams of fat—nothing could be more American than enjoying this during the Super Bowl.
What You Need
Bacon (to fuel your body correctly)
Big hunk of brisket (next level meatiness)
BBQ sauce (to marinate your meat)
Dough (for a custom epic bun)
Ground beef/onions/ketchup/mustard (Sloppy Joseph)
New England Clam Chowder (Brady Gravy)
Hope you enjoyed these recipes and they inspire you to become a champion in the kitchen during your Super Bowl party.
