NFL MVP: Why Aaron Rodgers Earned the Award with Record-Breaking Season
Despite the fact that his team made a disappointing exit from the playoffs, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers undoubtedly earned the NFL's MVP award this season.
Rodgers was the best quarterback in the league all year, and broke records along the way. The 28-year-old completed 343 of 502 passes (68.3 percent) for 4,643 yards with 45 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He led the league in yards per attempt (9.25), and his passer rating of 122.5 set the single-season NFL record. In fact, his rating was so stellar that he finished 11.9 points higher than second place (Drew Brees, 110.6).
Rodgers did all of that in 15 games, as he sat our Green Bay's regular season finale.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In addition to his gaudy stats, the Cal product led the Packers to a 15-1 regular season record, and the defending Super Bowl champions were clearly the league's best team all year long. Why is that important? Because it meant opponents gave Green Bay their best shot every time out.
Rodgers was not only the best player in the league, he was also the most valuable, as he found a way to get everyone on Green Bay's offense involved. The Packers finished the regular season boasting seven players with 25 or more receptions, and five with more than 37 catches. That is absolutely stunning.
Green Bay also led the NFL in points per game (35.0), which means Rodgers not only moved the ball put put the team in position to score.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees also had an outstanding season, but looking at it objectively Rodgers was the most efficient, best player in the league all season long. He deserves the NFL's MVP award, and I don't think the vote should be close.
