National Signing Day 2012: The Odds for Where Every Top Recruit Will Sign
With NSD finally upon us, we figured why not take a couple of the top uncommitted prospects left on the board and put a percentage on where they will sign.
So here we go; just a quick percentage rundown on where I think the odds and chances are a recruit signs. Nothing too fancy, but extra juicy and interesting nonetheless.
Let's get started.
13. Tracy Howard, CB
1 of 13Howard looks to be a top-flight CB prospect. I don't think he leaves the Sunshine State, so here's how I look at his recruitment:
Florida: 33 percent
Florida State: 33 percent
Miami: 33 percent
12. Nelson Agholor, ATH
2 of 13Agholor tripped to Los Angeles in the summer and again this past month. Florida and FSU are going to battle at the wire for him vs. USC.
Here's how I see it:
USC: 60 percent
Florida State: 25 percent
Florida: 15 percent
11. Jordan Diamond, OT
3 of 13I've maintained that I would be shocked if Diamond doesn't end up at Michigan. He'll likely make his decision on Friday.
Here's how I see it:
Michigan: 45 percent
Wisconsin: 25 percent
Auburn: 15 percent
Arkansas: 15 percent
10. Josh Harvey-Clemons, OLB/WR
4 of 13FSU was my pick back in the fall, but since then I've changed. The Noles aren't out of it, but they trail the Gators and Bulldogs in my opinion.
I see it like this:
Georgia: 35 percent
Florida: 35 percent
Florida State: 15 percent
Miami: 15 percent
9. Avery Young, OT
5 of 13I'd you would have asked me this last spring, I'd said Oklahoma.
But not anymore.
Auburn leads by a slight hair, in my opinion, and I see Young's thinking as:
Auburn: 30 percent
Miami: 23 percent
Georgia: 23 percent
Florida: 23 percent
8. Darius Hamilton, DL
6 of 13Rutgers: 50 percent
Miami: 50 percent
7. Kyle Murphy, OT
7 of 13It's a three-team race, but I think it's really Stanford vs. USC.
I think Stanford wins out and Murphy finishes like this:
Stanford: 50 percent
USC: 30 percent
Oregon: 20 percent
6. Ronald Darby, CB
8 of 13Darby was committed to Notre Dame, but has backed off circa a few weeks ago.
I think FSU wins out and he finishes as:
Florida State: 60 percent
Auburn: 20 percent
Clemson: 20 percent
5. Kwon Alexander, OLB
9 of 13Alexander has to realize that he's a way better fit in Brian Van Gorder's scheme rather than Kirby Smart and Nick Saban's.
He just has to...doesn't he?
Auburn: 55 percent
Alabama: 45 percent
4. Eddie Goldman, DT
10 of 13I've had a hunch about Florida State with Goldman the past several days, but you never know.
The D.C. native will let us all know his pick tomorrow.
Florida State: 25 percent
Miami: 25 percent
Auburn: 25 percent
Alabama: 25 percent
3. Andrus Peat, OT
11 of 13Peat has his brother at Nebraska, so I think we all know Bo Pelini has been selling the family angle here.
It could work, but Stanford and USC will have something to say before it's over.
Nebraska: 50 percent
Stanford: 25 percent
USC: 25 percent
2. Stefon Diggs, WR
12 of 13Diggs is highly unpredictable. He won' make a decision until almost Valentine's Day.
So I'll be worrying about buying chocolates and flowers and covering Diggs' recruitment at the same time.
Auburn: 25 percent
Florida: 25 percent
Ohio State: 25 percent
Maryland: 25 percent
1. Dorial Green-Beckham, WR
13 of 13I think this race comes down to Missouri vs. Arkansas. Reports and rumors are swirling from all over the place.
Now, we finally get to see where he's going.
Missouri: 45 percent
Arkansas: 45 percent
Texas: 5 percent
Oklahoma: 5 percent
