Royal Rumble 2012 Results: John Cena's Feud with Kane Must Die Immediately
When John Cena and Kane first started, there was a lot of promise that this feud could be good for Cena and WWE. Over the last six weeks, it has devolved into something so laughably moronic that it is time for them to move onto anything else.
The tip of the disastrous iceberg came on Sunday night at the Royal Rumble. It started with a video package telling the world that Cena does get mixed reactions from fans all over the world, but he always remains upbeat and positive.
It continued with the actual match between Cena and Kane. It was supposed to be a brawl between two dominant wrestlers who genuinely did not like each other, and had fundamentally different values. It ended up being a mediocre, at best, match between two performers who aren't very good in the ring.

The fun didn't stop after the two were counted out. No, it had to continue in the back just so we could get to that brutal moment where Kane struggled to wheel Zack Ryder, who was able to fly from Phoenix to St. Louis with a broken back, down to the ring to deliver a tombstone.
As hard as WWE is trying to convince fans that Cena is going to the dark side, it is safe to say that things keep getting worse, and not in a good way.
Cena and Kane have had no chemistry throughout this feud. The audience has been laughing at everything they are supposed to be taking seriously.
Plus, instead of having Cena go darker or Kane get what is coming to him, the WWE decided to bury Ryder so that someone would suffer, besides the fans.
There have been worse feuds in WWE, I am sure—ironically, Kane has been involved in two of the worst with Katie Vick in 2002 and Edge in 2010—but this one will rank right up there in the pantheon of terrible ideas.
For the sake of everyone involved—Cena, Kane, Ryder, Eve, and the fans—this feud needs to be dropped now that we have seen them work a match against each other.
I belittle WWE all the time for not following up on angles, or having bad follow-ups, but this is one instance where if I never have to see this again without any kind of explanation, it will be a great day.
