Royal Rumble 2012 Predictions: Stars Most Likely to Break 3 Rumble Records
There are a few impressive records in Royal Rumble history. What are the chances one of them gets broken in 2012? Well, let's take a look at some of those great benchmarks, and the participants that may have the juice to challenge them this year.
Longest Stint in a Single Rumble
Rey Mysterio spent over an hour and two minutes in the Rumble back in 2006. Mysterio became the first man to draw the second number and go on to win the Rumble. He started off with Triple H, and persevered and ultimately eliminated Randy Orton to win the rumble and earn a spot in the main event at WrestleMania 22.

Best shot to break this record in 2012:
Well, we know the Miz is going to enter the ring first, so he's automatically a candidate. The match itself will have to go at least an hour for even him to be eligible. Since I don't believe the Miz will win, I'd say the star drawing No. 2 has the best chance.
I'm going to go with Wade Barrett there. Just a guess, but I think this could be his event, to finally pull off a big victory. Breaking a record like this would go a long way in establishing his legitimacy.
Shortest Stint in a Single Rumble
One second
Santino Marella holds the dubious distinction of being in the Rumble for the shortest time in the history of the event. He charged to the ring, in typical goofy Santino fashion, only for Kane to turn meet him with a clothesline, and eliminate him.

This could happen to just about any low-level, non-heavyweight jobber. I'll say R-Truth. If this happens to him, maybe he can then say it's all a part of a conspiracy against him. That would seem to fit in well with his current angle.
Most Eliminations in a Single Rumble
In 2001, Kane was a man-possessed...well, even more than usual. Eliminating 11 men, one with an assist from The Undertaker. He even intimidated Drew Carey, a celebrity entrant, into eliminating himself.
Oddly enough, Kane only ended up doing Stone Cold Steve Austin's dirty work by eliminating over a third of the field. Austin won the rumble, eliminating Kane to capture the victory. Here is the exciting conclusion to that match:
Best shot to break this record in 2012:
Honestly, I'd say it would be Kane again. Generally, to perform this type of feat, it would have to be one of the bigger stars. There isn't another star large enough in stature and size to pull this off besides Kane. That would mean he'd have to have his number called, in addition to his match with John Cena, which isn't likely.
I could go on for hours with Royal Rumble records, those are just three of the most prominent. We'll see if any of those or the other records are broken on Sunday, I can't wait to watch.
