WWE News: Huge Update on Money in the Bank Moving Match Back to WrestleMania
The Money in the Bank match was once a staple of WrestleMania.
But in 2010, WWE officials made the decision to move the match to its own pay-per-view, and in 2011, there was no MITB bout at WrestleMania for the first time since its inception in 2005.
Although the Money in the Bank PPV in 2011 was one of the best ever, it looks like the MITB match is headed back home.

From the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestleNewz.com):
"At last word, Money in the Bank is scheduled for WrestleMania 28 with the winner being able to challenge either the World Heavyweight Champion or the WWE Champion at any time.
"
Good. That’s exactly how it should be.
While Money in the Bank was a phenomenal pay-per-view in 2011, that was a once in a decade show, and I’ve always thought that the MITB match was best served staying at WrestleMania.
Not only does having just one MITB match make holding the briefcase that much more special, but it also helps leave open the element of surprise.
Theoretically, the winner can now hold onto the briefcase until he has a perfect feud set up for him on either Raw or SmackDown. That just seems a lot more exciting than a guy being relegated to cashing on the world champion of his brand.
Also, the Money in the Bank match itself has simply always felt like a WrestleMania match. That’s where it started, that’s where it got popular and that’s where it often stole the show.
The match is a great way to open up the PPV, get the crowd hot and set the tone for the rest of the night.
If it moves back to WrestleMania as is currently planned, then we could be in store for one heck of a show this March.
