He talks about the peace that Joe had during the final hours of his life, and the amount of support  that family members were able to bring to him as he spent the final hours of his life with those he loved and treasured the most.

In one of the most touching moments of the interview, Jay talks about how, in the final moments he spent with his father, he was able to convey the message to Joe that he was the best father that a son could have asked for, always preparing him for what was ahead.

One of the final things that Jay said to his father was this:

"Look dad, you've given me all the armor I need to make my way through life, and the battles of life. You don't need to do anything else for me. You've been my father, and now I understand that in being a father you were being a true friend, because you readied me for what was coming."

Jay talks about how the grieving process for him won't begin until after the memorial service takes place on Thursday afternoon. He mentions how, while he will break down down and feel the emotions of his loss for days to come, he will hear his dad's voice in the back of his head saying:

"Get on with it. Go do the rest of your life's work and honor me that way."

At one point, Rinaldi asks Jay what he would tell his father if he could tell him one last thing, with the son of the former Penn State head coach responding:

"Dad, you've done an amazing job. There's nothing left for you to do, and it's OK.  We're going to be alright ... and I will never lose Joe's light in my life."

Joe Paterno's legacy will always live on in the hearts of those who loved him, which is an amazing thing to find peace and comfort in.
