WWE News: Did Kane Make John Cena 'Embrace the Hate' on Monday's Raw?
Though I had some serious doubts about how the WWE would pull of this “Will Cena embrace the hate?” storyline, this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was a very good show, primarily because of the great progression in the storyline involved Kane, Cena and Ryder.
We saw Kane absolutely destroy Ryder in their Falls Count Anywhere match, Cena get pissed more than occasionally and Eve put the blame for Ryder’s injuries square on Cena’s shoulders.

And there was a very specific reason why that was done.
"The idea behind John Cena’s “angry face” after Zack Ryder was taken away in an ambulance on RAW last night was that Kane has caused him to “embrace the hate.”
"
That now marks two straight weeks where Cena has totally lost it and shown some very heelish tendencies. While I wouldn’t say that he’s “embraced the hate” just yet, he keeps getting closer and closer to doing so.
On last week’s Raw, he absolutely flipped out on Jack Swagger, beat the holy hell out of him and showed some great intensity while doing so.
Then, on this week’s Raw, he interrupted CM Punk’s promo and took a veiled shot at Punk, he did not take the blame for the injury to Ryder, he slapped the microphone out of Josh Mathews’ hand when Mathews attempted to interview him, and of course, he made that “angry face” that PWInsider.com mentions.
While Cena may be getting a little angrier than usual, I still think we’ve got a ways to go before he officially “embraces the hate.”
Kane is doing everything he can to piss Cena off, and it’s certainly working. But getting mad doesn’t exactly qualify as embracing the hate.
Cena’s embracement of the hate will come when Kane gets under his skin enough to make him go crazy on a fellow baby face and turn heel.
Embracing the hate is just Kane’s way of saying turning heel, so just because Cena’s not being the same cookie-cutter baby face he typically is, that doesn’t mean he’s going to become a definitive bad guy.
Regardless, I like what Cena’s been doing as of late. It’s certainly a welcome change from his lame poop jokes and happy-go-lucky demeanor.
