WWE News: Money in the Bank PPV Being Dropped and Replaced by WWE TLC
The WWE’s 2011 pay-per-view schedule was highly controversial.
There were too many pay-per-views (13 total), a couple that were really bad (Vengeance comes to mind) and a big cluster of PPVs in the fall.
We’ve all complained about the PPV schedule, and the WWE has listened to us fans by dropping Capitol Punishment (Yippee!) and bringing back Fatal 4-Way (Ugh). The changes just keep on coming, though, as yet another PPV has been dropped from the 2012 schedule.

"WWE officials have apparently decided to drop the Money in the Bank pay-per-view this July and replace it with another concept – the TLC pay-per-view. As noted before, they have been planning to bring the Money in the Bank ladder match back at WrestleMania this year.
"
OK, so this is what the 2012 PPV schedule looks like now:
"Jan. 29 - Royal Rumble
Feb. 19 - Elimination Chamber
April 1 - WrestleMania XXVIII
April 29 - Extreme Rules
May 20 - Over The Limit
June 17 - Fatal 4 Way
July 15 - TLC
Aug. 18 - SummerSlam
Sept. 23 - Night of Champions
Oct. 28 - Hell in a Cell
Nov. 18 - Survivor Series
Dec. 16 - Vengeance
"
While Money in the Bank was a great PPV in 2011 and many will be sad to see it go, I’m not sure that it would have ever lived up to last year's hype. John Cena vs. CM Punk was a highly-anticipated match that happens only once every few years, but just because last year’s was good doesn’t mean that this year’s would be, too.
I’m fine with the MITB match moving back to WrestleMania because it’s a great show opener and often one of the highlights of the PPV. Plus, having only one MITB match will make carrying the briefcase even more special.
Though I’m excited that MITB is back where it belongs, I’m still not too thrilled with the PPV schedule in general.
Over the Limit is a terrible name, Fatal 4-Way essentially forces the WWE to put on Fatal 4-Way matches (even if the booking might not call for it), ditto with Hell in a Cell, and Vengeance should have been dropped altogether.
I’m all in favor of the WWE making some big PPV changes, but just making those changes doesn’t cut it. The changes have to be done for the betterment of the company and outside of moving MITB back to Mania, I don’t think any of these changes really accomplished that.
