Also featured on the main card is Duane Ludwig, who will attempt to remain red-hot when he meets Josh Neer.
In total, the fight card consists of four main card fights and six preliminary bouts.

After losing his Octagon debut to Walel Watson, Joseph Sandoval will look to bounce back when he takes on Nick Denis at UFC on FX.
In one of the more black-and-white bouts of the evening, Denis will surely enter in on Sandoval looking for the knockout blow.
If Denis can capitalize on his series of strikes, he could leave Nashville victorious.
However, if Sandoval proves he can hang on his feet, he'll hold the advantage as the rounds progress, as he's the more conditioned fighter.

Both Pineda and Schilling have displayed exceptional submission skills despite just being in their mid 20's.
Schilling is more dominant—he has finished every opponent in the first round—but lacks the experience of Pineda.
However, if Schilling can take control early, he could put Pineda in a place he doesn't want to be in.
Prediction: Schilling by R1 Submission

UFC Record: 0-1-1

Fabricio Camoes and Tommy Hayden will stand across the Octagon and touch gloves for what has the making for one of the more underrated bouts of the night.
Hayden will enter the Octagon never having tasted defeat, but will be standing across the Octagon from a martial artist who's been in his position plenty of times before.
While Hayden has yet to fall to defeat, he's facing an opponent who's competed against the current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
Camoes is also the more well-rounded fighter and has more of an upside heading into action on January 20th.

Brenneman will be squaring off with an opponent in Roberts whose strength lies in the submission, as he's finished nine opponents by way of tapout.
However, Brenneman has never been submitted in his career and is a mastermind on the ground.
If Roberts wants any chance of knocking off Brenneman, he'll have to be the first man to submit him.
Prediction: Brenneman by Unanimous Decision

To Nurmagomedov's favor, he's yet to lose in his MMA career.
To make matters worse for Shalorus, Nurmagomedov is the complete package and can finish his fights in a variety of different ways.

Both Rivera and Shafer are experienced and have spent the majority of their careers fighting for the UFC.
Rivera will look to keep action on his feet, as he is usually swinging for the knockout blow.
Shafer will more than likely attempt to put Rivera on his back and finish him from there.
Whoever is successful in their strength will come out on top.
Prediction: Rivera by R3 TKO
Pat Barry vs. Christian Morecraft
7 of 10Pat Barry
Career Record: 6-4

Barry and Morecraft are currently on the worst stretch of their MMA careers and will need to make a statement from the opening bell.
Morecraft is well aware of Barry's lackluster submission defense and will attempt to expose his opponent from the ground early and often.
In order to do so, he'll have to avoid Barry's vicious striking, which could be a problem in itself.
Prediction: Barry by R1 TKO
Mike Easton vs. Jared Papazian
8 of 10Mike Easton

However, he'll be taking on an even tougher opponent in Papazian who's never been knocked out in his career.
This bout has potential to be one of the best of evening and the results could be as close as a flipped coin.
Prediction: Papazian by Split Decision
Duane Ludwig vs. Josh Neer
9 of 10Duane Ludwig
Career Record: 21-11
UFC Record: 4-2
Key Wins: Jonathan Goulet
Key Losses: Jim Miller
Josh Neer
Career Record: 32-10-1
UFC Record: 5-6
Key Wins: Mac Danzig
Key Losses: Melvin Guillard
When knockout power meets knockout power, fans in attendance at the Bridgestone Arena can expect fireworks from the get-go.
Duane Ludwig and Josh Neer have been two of the more well-known names in the UFC's welterweight division.
Ludwig will attempt to impose his will through a series of strikes and combos while Neer can stand but will elect to grapple his way to a victory.
With that being said, both Ludwig and Neer are red-hot, which will result in a difficulty for a finish.
If there is a finish, its likely it will be Neer's hand who's raised by submission.
Prediction: Neer by R2 Submission
Melvin Guillard vs. Jim Miller
10 of 10Melvin Guillard
Career Record: 29-9-2 (1)
UFC Record: 10-5
Key Wins: Jeremy Stephens, Marcus Davis
Key Losses: Joe Lauzon, Nate Diaz
Jim Miller
Career Record: 20-3
UFC Record: 9-2
Key Wins: Mac Danzig, Duane Ludwig
Key Losses: Benson Henderson, Gray Maynard
In the main event of the evening at UFC on FX, heavy-hitting Melvin Guillard will look to successfully bounce back from his recent defeat to Joe Lauzon.
His opponent Jim Miller is also coming off a loss to a Benson Henderson and will look to get back into title contention.
When the opening bell rings, Miller will want to avoid standing with Guillard, as it only takes one punch for the the "Young Assassin" to strike.
However, as good a grappler and submission artist Miller is, he is put on the ground quite regularly, giving reason to believe he may have trouble taking Guillard down.
If Miller can put Guillard on his back, he'll have a chance to take care of him from there.
If he can't, fans can expect to Guillard's knockout power to play the biggest factor in this lightweight showdown.
Prediction: Guillard by R3 TKO
