WWE Hall of Fame 2012: Ric Flair Showing Up Is Not a Big Deal
Let me put up a few notes before I begin:
1. This is an opinion piece. These are my thoughts, nobody else's.
2. My feelings toward TNA are well-known by now, hence why I barely even mention them anymore.

With that being said, WWE is in quite an interesting situation here. As announced on Raw, the Four Horsemen are being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012.
It is a very deserving honor, and I wish them all the best during the ceremony in Miami.
Of course, all of the members are sure to be focused on. However, most of the attention will be on Ric Flair. Fair or not, he will get the majority of the responses.
Where this gets intriguing is that Ric Flair is working for TNA Impact Wrestling.
Yes, they do still exist.
Well, it doesn't seem to matter. WWE gives TNA zero care in the world (Monday Night "War" 2010 was one of the most embarrassing things I have ever seen), so nothing seems to have changed now.
According to this report, people within WWE are expecting Ric Flair to be at the Hall of Fame ceremony this year, regardless if TNA lets him or not.
In my opinion, that pretty much sums up TNA right there.
Flair works there? Who cares? It doesn't seem to matter much. It is there but are not even worthy of a mention in the end.
As for Flair, it tells me a lot about what he thinks of working there as well. My favorite quote in the report was "regardless if TNA lets him or not."
There you go! That is TNA in a nutshell.
Look, Flair is Flair. If he wants to be at a WWE event, he is going to be there. A similar situation came up last year with Mick Foley wanting to be on WWE Raw for The Rock's birthday. Well, he was still with TNA and decided to take the high road and not appear on his own will.
Ric Flair is his own man. Love him or hate him, he is going to do what he wants. If TNA tells him no, he isn't going to care. If TNA gives him their blessing, good for them!
It is appearing at a historic WWE event in front of 20,000 paying fans and millions more watching at home or standing ringside at a taping in front of 1,000 non-paying tourists at a theme park in Orlando. Yeah, Flair knows what he wants...
As for any consequences if this thing gets ugly?
I don't see anything major. Do not forget last year: Ric Flair was shown on a WWE.com video with Shawn Michaels at his induction. Yes, it was on a much smaller scale, but it still applied. Flair worked for TNA at the time, and WWE did not care enough to show him.
The same goes here. Flair will be there. TNA will do nothing, and WWE will reap whatever benefits come their way. Impact will get no publicity from this, just as they never do, and the following show will get a 1.1 or 1.2 rating. That is just my opinion! My crystal ball is very clear on this one.
Again, these are just my opinions on the current situation. What do you folks think? Let me know...
