Jamal Mashburn: Former NBA Star Denies Blame for Terrible Car Crash
Former NBA star and current ESPN analyst Jamal Mashburn has denied blame for causing a terrible car crash that resulted in multiple people being injured, according to TMZ.
Mashburn, 39, is laying the blame on the person driving the other car, alleging they did not follow the rules of the road.
"But Mashburn is fighting back -- and in court docs obtained by TMZ, he denies responsibility and points the finger at his accusers...who he says were NOT following common safety rules of the road.
In the docs, Mashburn claims both people were NOT wearing seat belts at the time of the crash...and alleges the driver was using a cell phone.
"
Mashburn also believes that the alleged victims are not telling the truth about the severity of the injuries suffered as a result from the crash.
Hopefully, Mashburn and the alleged victims can work this out because going through a terrible car crash is very difficult to deal with.
Mashburn played for the Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Hornets during his 12-year NBA career. He averaged 19.1 points per game and was one of the better all-around small forwards of the 1990s.
He was the fourth overall pick in the 1993 NBA draft by the Mavericks.
