Week 14 Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet: Identifying Sleepers for Deep Leagues
We've reached Week 14 of the 2024 NFL season, which for many season-long fantasy leagues, will be the final week before the playoffs.
Naturally, this will be a pivotal week for managers looking to cement their postseason positioning and for those looking to make one final push. Unfortunately, navigating the schedule won't be particularly easy.
The Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots and Washington Commanders will be on bye, meaning fantasy stars like Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Nico Collins, Jonathan Taylor and Jayden Daniels will be unavailable.
Many managers will need to rely on sleepers in Week 14. The good news is that a few quality options may still be available on the waiver wire.
You'll find a look at this week's top waiver targets, along with updated flex rankings based on point-per-reception (PPR) scoring.

Russell Wilson, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
2 of 5
Despite throwing for 414 yards and three touchdowns in Week 13, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson remains available in many season-long leagues. He's currently rostered in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues and less than 30 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Wilson is set to face the Cleveland Browns, a team the Steelers lost to just two weeks ago. While Wilson wasn't particularly great in that game (270 yards, 1 TD), he should fare much better in the rematch.
The Browns have traditionally struggled in Pittsburgh, and injuries continue to mount for Cleveland's defense—safety Grant Delpit and cornerback Denzel Ward both left Monday's game with injuries.
In Monday's game, the Browns surrendered 294 yards and a touchdown to Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix. That should be considered the floor for Wilson this week, and his ceiling could be much, much higher.
Other quarterbacks to consider on the wire include:
- Jameis Winston, Cleveland Browns
- Aidan O'Connell, Las Vegas Raiders
- Will Levis, Tennessee Titans
Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks
3 of 5
San Francisco 49ers running back Isaac Guerendo should be a top waiver target this week. The 49ers recently placed Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason on injured reserve, paving the way for Guerendo to start against the Chicago Bears.
It's worth checking to see if Guerendo is available. If he isn't, Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet should garner some consideration.
Charbonnet has been the clear No. 2 back behind Kenneth Walker III in Seattle this season. However, he's coming off of one of his better games of the season. Against the New York Jets in Week 13, Charbonnet tallied two receptions, 41 scrimmage yards and a touchdown.
Seattle faces a rematch with the Arizona Cardinals, and it may look to lean a bit more on its two-headed backfield than it did in the first meeting, which was a defensive battle. Charbonnet is also worth scooping up ahead of the playoffs as a top handcuff to stash.
The Cardinals have allowed the 15th-most (tied) fantasy points to opposing running backs this season, while Charbonnet is still available in roughly 50 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
Other RBs to consider include:
- Isaac Guerendo, RB, San Francisco 49ers
- Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills
- Tank Bigsby, Jacksonville Jaguars
Adam Thielen, WR , Carolina Panthers
4 of 5
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen doesn't have the most enviable of matchups this week. Carolina will visit the Philadelphia Eagles, who have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
However, Thielen is also likely to see a heavy target volume as Bryce Young's top target. Young, for those that haven't noticed, has been playing much, much better in recent weeks.
"As our QB coach Will Harriger always likes to say, he's like, 'Activate the second play. Baller mode. Here we go.' Panthers head coach Dave Canales said of Young, per Anthony Rizzuti of Panthers Wire. "He's getting to those things and he's winning the down. He's finding ways to win."
Thielen's production has risen with Young back in the lineup, and the veteran receiver is coming off of an eight-catch, 99-yard, one-touchdown game. He may not replicate those numbers against the Eagles, but he's an available high-volume receiver at a point in the year when such players typically aren't available.
Thielen is still available in over 70 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues. Other wideouts to consider include:
- Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans
- Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns
- Brandin Cooks, Dallas Cowboys
Will Dissly, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
5 of 5
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly was a complete non-factor in Week 13, as he was only targeted once and finished without a catch. Of course, the Chargers offense, in general, struggled against the Atlanta Falcons.
However, Dissly is worth scooping up for managers of tight ends on bye like Mark Andrews Andrews and Dalton Schultz. Before last week's slump, Dissly had started to become a significant factor in the L.A. offense, and he has a favorable matchup for Week 14.
Prior to last week, Dissly had averaged 4.5 receptions over his previous seven games. Kansas City's defense, meanwhile, has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends in 2024.
Los Angeles' top target in the passing game has become rookie receiver Ladd McConkey, and the Chiefs will undoubtedly look to take him away. That should create opportunities for Dissly, who is a solid risk-reward play in Week 14. He's still available in over 60 percent of ESPN leagues and over 90 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Other tight ends to consider on the wire include:
- Noah Gray, Kansas City Chiefs
- Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals
- Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints
