NFL Rumors: 'Optimism' Packers' Jordan Love Avoided Long-Term Groin Injury
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love left the team's 30-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday due to a groin injury.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that there is "optimism he avoided a long-term injury" against the Jaguars, with the signal-caller set to undergo tests on Monday.
Love completed 14 of his 22 pass attempts for 196 yards and an interception before leaving the game. Love was replaced by backup Malik Willis under center, with Willis previously starting two games with the Packers earlier this season.

In the third quarter of Sunday's matchup, Love appeared to be limping after colliding with Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker.
Following a breakout 2023 season, the beginning of the 25-year-old's 2024 campaign has been marred by injuries and inconsistency.
Love exited Green Bay's Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles with a sprained MCL, missing two games before he was eventually able to return against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.
Heading into Sunday's contest, he completed 61.5 percent of his throws for 1,351 yards and 15 touchdowns to go along with eight interceptions in five appearances.
Despite his early absence in 2024, the Packers have been able to open the season with a 6-2 record due to the unexpected success of Willis. In his two starts, the former third-round pick completed 73.5 percent of his passes for 324 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Willis also added 114 yards and another score on the ground, leading Green Bay to wins in both games with the first-string offense.
Love's availability moving forward will be monitored by the Packers with an upcoming Week 10 bye. However, Green Bay is scheduled to face the Detroit Lions in a tough NFC North matchup before the week off.
