Davante Adams Says Hamstring Injury Feels 'Great' After Trade to Jets from Raiders
Upon his arrival to the New York Jets after a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday, star receiver Davante Adams provided a positive update on his hamstring injury.
Adams made a surprise appearance on The Pat McAfee Show alongside veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers and said he's progressing well after being sidelined for the past three weeks.
"Thank you for asking about the injury. I'm feeling great, man," Adams said. "I was working with the staff in Vegas the whole time and they got me back right, so fortunately I'll be able to roll."

Adams produced 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown on 27 targets before injuring his hamstring. The 31-year-old was surprisingly made available on the trade block by the Raiders during his time away from the field, and the Jets were the favorites to land him all along due to his connection with Rodgers.
Adams and Rodgers starred together for the Green Bay Packers and were one of the most prolific duos in the NFL. Adams requested to be traded from the Packers at the end of the 2021 season in hopes of landing a bigger contract, which he received from the Raiders.
Despite their time apart, Adams said he's confident that he and Rodgers will still be able to dominate the way they did in Green Bay.
"I'm sure there's a few new little nuances, but for the most part, a lot of the same verbiage. Still the same OG right here," he said, referring to Rodgers. "So we should be able to pick up where we left off, that's the idea."
Adams' presence is sure to make life easier for rising star receiver Garrett Wilson, who leads the Jets with 67 targets this season. For a comparison, Allen Lazard ranks second on the team with 40 targets.
New York is riding a three-game losing streak into its matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football, so the team is hoping that Adams will be able to help stop the skid.
