Haason Reddick Hires Drew Rosenhaus, Ryan Matha to Resolve Jets Contract amid Holdout
New York Jets linebacker Haason Reddick has hired Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha as his new agents amid his contract standoff with the team, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Rosenhaus told Schefter that Reddick "would like to be a New York Jet for years to come and our goal is to make that happen."
Schefter also reported that Rosenhaus and Matha have reached out directly to the team to open a dialogue.

Players and Teams That Want Draft Redo 🔄
As much as an agent is supposed to work on their client's behalf, the challenge before Rosenhaus and Matha might be convincing Reddick to take the best offer on the table from the Jets.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday the two-time Pro Bowler is aiming for a multiyear extension on par with the highest-paid pass-rushers in the league. However, "there is no market for such a deal."
Rapoport also reported that New York and Reddick's previous agents had negotiated a one-year contract that "would have given him the opportunity to make up for the fines and make more money than he was originally scheduled to earn."
Maybe the devil was in the details with that amended deal for 2024. Only saying Reddick had "the opportunity" to earn back his original salary and then some leads one to believe a portion of the money—perhaps less than his original $14.3 million base salary—wasn't guaranteed.
But if Reddick is determined to get long-term security carrying him beyond the current season, Rosenhaus and Matha could be facing an uphill battle. Based on the absence of an agreement, the Jets have so far been unwilling to meet that demand, and the prolonged nature of this saga presumably leaves them even less inclined to do so.
New York has more leverage at the moment too.
Rapoport noted Reddick has to report to the team by Week 13 or this year won't count toward his NFL service time. As a result, he wouldn't hit free agency in the offseason and would stay on the Jets' books for 2025.
There isn't a ton of downside for the Jets to simply wait and either welcome Reddick back or watch him miss an entire season and forfeit millions in potential earnings.
Reaching a resolution where everybody comes out a winner isn't impossible for Rosenhaus and Matha, but it won't be easy.
