Mel Kiper: Shedeur Sanders No. 1 QB; Carson Beck 35% Chance to Be Drafted Before Him
Shedeur Sanders has been impressing the college football world since he and his father, Deion, joined the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023.
The quarterback has stepped up his game this season, leading the team to a 4-1 start while throwing for over 1,600 yards and maintaining a 70 percent completion rate with 14 touchdowns.
Although Shedeur is currently regarded as the No. 1 quarterback by many, there is a 35 percent chance he won't be the first pick in the 2025 NFL draft, with Carson Beck of Georgia potentially taking that spot instead, according to ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr.
The Bulldogs' latest performance against Alabama on Saturday may have dampened Beck's draft prospects, especially with the loss of tight end Brock Bowers and receiver Ladd McConkey.
However, there's no denying the talent of the signal-caller, and if someone was picked ahead of Sanders, it would likely be Beck.
Georgia is off to a 3-1 start this season, with the quarterback leading the way by throwing for 1,119 yards, an 81 percent completion rate and 10 touchdowns.
