Derek Jeter Reflects on Walk-Off in Final Yankees Game in 10-Year Anniversary Video

It's been 10 years since New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter finished his final home game in a pinstriped uniform with a walk-off single to right field to score Antoan Richardson and give his team a 6-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

On Wednesday, Jeter reflected on that moment with wonder that's it's already been a decade since that hit.

Jeter played two more games after that, both against the Red Sox in Boston. His final at-bat was a fourth-inning RBI infield single on the 2014 regular season's final day (Sept. 28), and Brian McCann came in to pinch-run. Jeter left to a standing ovation from the rival Red Sox crowd.

Jeter played pro ball for 20 seasons, all with the Yankees. He won five World Series, made 14 All-Star teams and earned five Gold Gloves and five Silver Slugger awards as well. He twice led the majors in hits and finished with 3,465 for his career alongside a .310 batting average. The 1996 AL Rookie of the Year also made the Hall of Fame's Class of 2020 after earning 99.7 percent of the BBWAA vote.
