U.S. Army All-American Bowl: Predicting Where Dorial Green-Beckham Lands

Randy ChambersJun 7, 2018

Last night we found out where a few more top prospects are going to play football. Tomorrow during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, we'll find out where even more will end up.

Sure, it's an All-Star game between some of the top high school players in the country, but it's also a chance for some of the top players to announce where they will commit to. Wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham is one of those players who will announce his decision on national television.

He's the top wide receiver prospect at 6'6", 220 pounds, and would instantly improve any team's offense. This guy is a beast and should become one of the top wide receivers in the country in no time.

Here are some of the top schools he's considering and a prediction for where he'll end up.

Texas

1 of 6

Some of the top wide receivers to go on to the NFL have come out of the Big 12 recently. Green-Beckham would be joining a very talented and young team in the Texas Longhorns.

Sure, Texas has had a couple of down seasons, but with majority of this team returning next season, they are primed for a return to the top of college football.

Green-Beckham would also be playing for a great head coach in Mack Brown—someone who doesn't have many losing seasons in his career.

The Longhorns are the only school the wide receiver has visited so far. That's great news if you're a Texas fan.

Missouri

The Missouri Tigers are the sleeper in this race but they do have some advantages going for them.

They are located in Green-Beckham's home state and they have an extremely talented recruiting class already. Put a 5-star recruit on this squad and they're competing for a BCS bowl in no time.

They're also on their way to the SEC, so he would be going up against some of the top competition in the country.

There have been quite a few surprises already in this recruiting process, and Green-Beckham becoming a Tiger would be another. But don't count them out.

Alabama

He'll be playing in the top conference in college football against some of the best competition week-in and week-out. He'll also have a great chance to compete in BCS bowl games and conference championships.

With the lack of quality wide receivers on the Crimson Tide at the moment, he'd also have the chance to become the No. 1 receiver instantly. Putting Green-Beckham on this team just adds a receiving weapon to a team that already runs the ball well.

It'd be hard to stop both.

Oklahoma

4 of 6

Going to Oklahoma, you know you're going to be on a loaded team and have a chance for a national championship every season.

You also know that you will always have a top quarterback throwing you the ball, as Oklahoma has great success with their signal-callers.

This is another Big 12 school that he would thrive at.

Arkansas

5 of 6

Whichever school Green-Beckham decides to go to, he will likely become a starter and make a huge impact immediately. Can you imagine him in the Arkansas offense next season?

The Razorbacks are already great offensively and will have running back Knile Davis healthy next season.

If you put one of the most talented receivers on this team and give quarterback Tyler Wilson another weapon, don't be surprised if they compete for an SEC title and national championship.

The wide receiver from Missouri could put up fantastic numbers in this offense.

Prediction

6 of 6

Green-Beckham has kept everything pretty close to the vest during this entire recruiting process, so my guess is just as good as yours. But I think he'll shock people and become a Missouri Tiger.

This team has recruited extremely well this year and has landed a top quarterback in Maty Mauk. Green-Beckham would get to play in the SEC, all while staying very close to home.

Which, with his schools of interest, appears to be a big deal for him. He would also thrive in a spread offense, which of course favors the Tigers as well.

I wouldn't be shocked if he picked any of these schools, but don't be surprised if he picks Missouri.
