WWE Royal Rumble 2012: The 10 Worst Performances in Royal Rumble History
Unlike the great performances in Royal Rumble history like Shawn Michaels and Kane over the years, there have been some superstars in the past 24 years of the event that haven't been as lucky as Michaels or the Big Red Machine.
While most superstars' time in the ring is counted in minutes until they're eliminated over the top rope, the following 10 superstars in this slideshow were counted by just mere seconds before they were tossed out of the ring and sent back up the entrance way to the locker room.
Honorable Mention: Vince McMahon, 1999 Royal Rumble
1 of 11Even though winning the Royal Rumble in 1999, Vince McMahon spent most of the match at the commentary table until Stone Cold Steve Austin dragged him back in the ring and would have been tossed over the top rope if it wasn't for the interference of The Rock.
No. 10: Tazz, 2001 Royal Rumble
2 of 11After his impressive WWE debut against Kurt Angle at the 2000 Royal Rumble, Tazz didn't enjoy the same amount of success the next year, as "The Human Suplex Machine" was the quickest elimination of the match at the 10-second mark.
No. 9: MVP, 2010 Royal Rumble
3 of 11If it was enough losing his chance to become United States champion earlier in the night, MVP was eliminated from the Royal Rumble match by the man who beat him earlier, the Miz, after being in the contest for just seven seconds in 2010.
No. 8: The Miz, 2007 Royal Rumble
4 of 11Even though the future WWE champion had the No. 29 draw in the 2007 Rumble, the Miz didn't have much luck with the entry number as he was quickly eliminated by the Great Khali after being in the match for only five seconds.
No. 7: Gillberg, 1999 Royal Rumble
5 of 11During the 1999 Royal Rumble, Edge thankfully eliminated the WWE's pitiful excuse for a Goldberg impersonation, Gillberg, after he made his way down to the ring and was promptly eliminated after seven seconds in the match.
No. 6: Jerry Lawler, 1997 Royal Rumble
6 of 11While the King is more well known for his work at the announcer table, Jerry Lawler was AWA Southern Heavyweight champion an amazing 52 times during his in-ring career, but that didn't matter in the 1997 Rumble as Lawler was tossed from the match by his rival, Bret Hart, after four seconds.
No. 5: Bushwhacker Luke, 1991 Royal Rumble
7 of 11As half of one of the most strangest tag teams to ever come through the WWE, Luke of the Bushwhackers spent 10 minutes and three seconds less than his partner Butch in the Royal Rumble match as he was eliminated by the massive Earthquake.
No. 4: Owen Hart, 1995 Royal Rumble
8 of 11The late Owen Hart entered the 1995 Rumble drawing the No. 11 entry in the match but was quickly sent over the top rope by his future Hart Foundation member, the British Bulldog, after only being in the match for the same amount time as a pinfall in a normal match.
No. 3: Mo, 1995 Royal Rumble
9 of 11In the first Royal Rumble to see a superstar win the match from the No. 1 draw, Mo didn't possess the same endurance level like the Heartbreak Kid showed in his win, as the legendary King Kong Bundy sent him over the top rope in a quick three seconds.
No. 2: The Warlord, 1989 Royal Rumble
10 of 11After entering the second ever Royal Rumble with the 21st draw, the Warlord didn't get to enjoy much time in the match as he was eliminated officially two seconds into his entry by the future two-time winner, Hulk Hogan.
No. 1: Santino Marella, 2009 Royal Rumble
11 of 11While nearly on the verge of winning the 2011 Royal Rumble last year over Alberto Del Rio, Santino was not so lucky in the 2009 event as the former Intercontinental champion was launched over the top rope by Kane after just one second in the match.
