Foreman signed with Cleveland as a free agent on March 22. The Browns released him on Tuesday in order to trim their roster to 53 players, although ESPN's Field Yates noted that they could eventually re-sign him without him going to waivers.
The 28-year-old appeared in nine games with the Chicago Bears during the 2023 season, racking up 425 yards and four touchdowns on 109 carries.
He gives Cleveland some depth at the running back position, as Nick Chubb won't be eligible to make his season debut until Week 5 after the team kept him on the physically unable to perform list to begin the year.
Huntley was the odd man out after the Browns initially kept four quarterbacks on their roster. Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported on Tuesday that Cleveland was listening to trade offers for the former Baltimore Ravens signal-caller as well as Jameis Winston.
However, a trade never materialized and Huntley was released. The 26-year-old should get attention from opposing teams searching for quarterback depth in free agency, as he's only two years removed from a Pro Bowl appearance with the Ravens.
Huntley appeared in three preseason games with the Browns, completing 72.5 percent of his throws for 322 yards and three touchdowns compared to two interceptions.
With Deshaun Watson returning to his starting role and former fifth-round pick Dorian Thompson-Robinson wrapping up a strong preseason performance, there wasn't enough room for four quarterbacks.
The Browns will begin their regular-season action against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 8 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
