Schefter: CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys 'Aren't All That Far Apart' on Contract Amid Rumors
The impasse between the Dallas Cowboys and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb may not be as bad as some fear.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday on The Pat McAfee Show that "the two sides aren't all that far apart." He added there's a growing belief Lamb will be with the team for its Week 1 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Jeff Darlington of ESPN painted a different picture Monday on Get Up when he said that "it really doesn't feel like they've gotten to a point where they know the annual salary, where they know the contract length, where they know the real structure of the contract where it becomes guaranteed money."
Lamb then left fans to think for themselves when he posted a photo of a black-suited Spider-Man on social media hours after that report.
The three-time Pro Bowler is under contract for one more season, but his $18 million salary is a bargain in the present market, where the top earners are making $30-plus million.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported last Saturday the Cowboys were willing to offer Lamb "around $33 (million)" annually but he was holding firm for more. The structure of his contract was a sticking point as well.
The start of the regular season is only a few weeks away. Not only are Lamb and the Cowboys running out of time to negotiate an extension before the opening week, but Schefter also explained how his ongoing holdout could mean he's not fully ready when play kicks off.
That's a problem Dallas would love to have, though, because it at least probably means Lamb is signed and locked in long-term.
