NFL Rumors: Harrison Butker, Chiefs Agree to $25.6M Contract to Be Top-Paid Kicker
The Kansas City Chiefs are rewarding star kicker Harrison Butker.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Chiefs and Butker agreed on a contract extension on Monday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the new contract is a four-year, $25.6 million extension that includes $17.75 million guaranteed.
The new deal makes Butker the highest-paid kicker in the league, narrowly giving him the edge over Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker and Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliot.

Butker later confirmed his extension on social media.
"There's no place I'd rather be than with the Chiefs, excited to finalize a 4 year extension," he wrote in the post. "To the Heights!"
Butker, 29, has been an integral part of the Chiefs dynasty since he was drafted out of Georgia Tech in 2017. He's made 94 percent of his extra points and 89 percent of his field goals across his career. Last season, he drilled all 38 of his extra points and missed just two field goals.
While he has been Kansas City's field goal specialist for all of its recent Super Bowls, he had perhaps the best postseason of his career last year. He made all 11 of his field goals across the Chiefs' four playoff games and was perfect on his eight extra-point attempts.
He accounted for 13 points on four field goals and an extra point in Kansas City's Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Now having secured Butker for another four years, the Chiefs will look to pursue a historic third straight Super Bowl this season.
