Magic Johnson Praises Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese for 'Doing Great Things' for WNBA
NBA legend Magic Johnson credited the Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky's Angel Reese with "doing great things" for the WNBA.

"They're playing great. They're doing great things for the league," he said.

The impact of Clark and Reese's arrival has already been evident.
The Fever are packing their home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, while being a massive draw on the road as well. Their 85-83 road win over the Washington Mystics drew a sellout crowd at Capital One Arena in the nation's capital.
Reese and fellow first-round pick Kamilla Cardoso, meanwhile, have played a role in surging ticket sales for the Sky, which have historically failed to gain a foothold in the Windy City.
Based on their performances out of the gate, Clark and Reese are going to remain key figures in the WNBA for a long time, too.
Clark has struggled a little more than expected, but she's still averaging 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists. She's fresh off dropping 30 points in that victory over the Mystics.
Reese has reeled off three straight double-doubles, most recently finishing with 13 points and 13 rebounds in an 89-80 loss to the Atlanta Dream on Saturday.
Much was thrust upon the 2024 rookie class in terms of how much attention they could help generate toward the WNBA. So far, the group is living up to the hype.
