Robert Kraft 'Disappointed' with Emphasis on Patriots' Controversies in 'Dynasty' Doc
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft expressed disappointment over the portrayal of the franchise in the Apple TV+ documentary series The Dynasty, saying he felt the directors focused too much on the negative.
"I felt bad that there was so much emphasis on the more controversial and let's say 'challenging' situations over the last 20 years," Kraft told reporters Tuesday.
"I wish they had focused more on our Super Bowl wins, our 21-game win streak. I felt bad there were players who gave hours and hours of interviews and they felt only the negativity [was used] ... So a little disappointed that there wasn't more of a real positive approach— especially for Patriot fans who have lived the experience with us."

The 10-part series spanned the entire two-decade dynasty, starting with Tom Brady taking over for Drew Bledsoe and concluding with the contentious divorce between Brady and Bill Belichick.
While the documentary swayed largely to the positive side, it was not a complete celebration of the Patriots. SpyGate, DeflateGate and the Aaron Hernandez murder trial were among the topics broached at length. Some believed Bill Belichick was cast in a harsher-than-expected light.
"Look, I'll state this clearly: I feel so privileged that we had Bill here. We hope when he's finished [coaching], that we're going to have a chance to honor him the way we will do with Tom Brady this year. ... I look forward to the privilege of putting Bill into the Patriots Hall of Fame one day in the future," Kraft said.
The Patriots and Belichick parted ways after the 2023 season following a 24-year run together.
Of course, it's worth noting that good documentaries are rarely puff pieces aimed at fan service. Critics overwhelmingly lauded the series, with it currently having a 100 percent "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Fans and those inside the Patriots organization may have been a little less enamored with the final product, but that was probably for the betterment of the film overall.
