NBA Rumors and News Roundup: LeBron James and Dwyane Wade Hurt and More
Dwyane Wade and LeBron James are both questionable to participate in Thursday's game for the Miami Heat, but those two aren't the only big names dealing with injuries.
After it was revealed that Manu Ginobili and Zach Randolph would each miss up to two months with their respective injuries on Wednesday, fans should get used to seeing more injuries than we have in recent seasons due to the shortened schedule.
The lockout changed a lot of things about the landscape of the league this season, but teams are going to have to quickly adjust when adversity comes their way.
Rodney Stuckey
1 of 11Stuckey was dealing with a groin issue heading into Thursday night, and he was unable to make it through the entire contest without aggravating the injury.
After starting the first half for Detroit, rookie Brandon Knight replaced him to begin the second half, and that's when it was revealed Stuckey was dealing with the groin tweak.
The Pistons have veteran Will Bynum as well as Knight, but the club has to be hoping that No. 3 isn't on the sidelines for very long.
Corey Maggette
2 of 11Maggette is seemingly always dealing with aches and pains in recent seasons, and it didn't take very long for him to suffer an injury with his newest team.
The veteran hit the floor hard on Thursday night against the Knicks, wasn't quick to get up, and then left the game shortly thereafter.
After the Bobcats win, early indications are that his hamstring strain could keep him out for more than just a game or two.
Tyrus Thomas
3 of 11Thomas has yet to play in a game for the Bobcats this season, but it won't be long before he finally makes his debut in 2012.
He's been hampered by an ankle injury sustained before the campaign began, but Charlotte is expecting him to be back out on the court on Friday.
For a team that is currently allotting major minutes to D.J. White at power forward, Thomas' return should be embraced with open arms.
MarShon Brooks
4 of 11Brooks was one of the few bright spots for a Nets team that has been decimated by injuries of late, and then the exciting rookie sustained one of his own.
He was showing off his scoring touch against the Celtics before going down to the ground grabbing his ankle, and it looked like a really painful play at the time that it happened.
Fortunately for the Nets, Brooks revealed that he was alright after the game and X-rays were negative, so it sounds as if New Jersey avoided a major scare.
Nene
5 of 11Nene has looked a little bigger than we have seen him in recent seasons this year, but that's not the reason he's on this list.
Although he's reporting progress on his heel injury, the big man still feels a "sharp pain" in the area and it's unlike something he's experienced previously in his career.
The combination of him potentially being a little out of shape and dealing with a nagging heel injury isn't a good one, and the Nuggets have to be hopeful this doesn't turn into something more serious.
John Wall
6 of 11The Wizards are the only winless team in the NBA staring an 0-6 record right in the face, and Wall wasn't shy about venting his frustrations following Wednesday's embarrassing loss to Orlando.
Wall said that everybody was being "selfish" and alluded to the idea that his team needs to start playing like a cohesive unit rather than a bunch of individuals.
There is some exciting young talent on the Washington roster, but so far, this looks like a group that has failed to build chemistry between one another on the court.
Derrick Rose
7 of 11Rose banged his elbow on the court on Wednesday night, and it gave some an initial scare when the reigning MVP went down.
He had X-rays taken after the game which came back negative, and Rose insisted after the contest that he was fine and it wouldn't keep him out of action.
In addition to being one of the more humble superstars in the league, Rose is an absolute warrior and doesn't get enough credit for regularly playing at less than 100 percent.
Stephen Curry
8 of 11It's becoming a season of deja vu for Curry, who went down yet again on Wednesday night due to his troublesome ankle.
Curry was having an excellent night for the Warriors before being forced from the game in the second half, and it's clear that his ankle is just not right.
Golden State is between a rock and a hard place in terms of how to handle Curry's injury, because an extended trip to the bench in street clothes leaves the lineup with far less talent.
Eric Gordon
9 of 11Gordon returned to the court last night for the Hornets from his knee injury, but it's the comments he made about his trade to New Orleans which are of particular interest.
The shooting guard did not hold back in an interview talking about how he was traded away from the Clippers, and went as far as to say Los Angeles lied to his face about their intentions.
Teammate Chris Kaman, also part of the Chris Paul trade, backed up Gordon's comments by saying the Clippers didn't even tell him that he was traded.

Dwyane Wade
10 of 11Wade sat out on Wednesday night with lingering soreness in his foot, and it's possible that he rests once again on Thursday night as well.
Listed as questionable to participate, Wade is hoping that the soreness doesn't turn into a long-term concern and appears willing to nip it in the bud now before it turns into something that bothers him all season.
It shouldn't turn into something that hampers Wade on a consistent basis, but foot injuries can be the type that linger a lot longer than most would expect.
LeBron James
11 of 11James went down on the court against the Pacers and immediately grabbed his ankle, prompting fans in South Beach to hold their breath while he was on the ground.
He got up and continued to play through the pain, but James was concerned about how it swelled up following the convincing victory.
Officially listed as questionable for Thursday's game in Atlanta, the Heat could very well be rolling out a starting lineup that looks a lot different than we're used to seeing if both players are held out.
