NFL Rumors: Tyler Lockett, Seahawks Agree to Restructured Contract
Wide receiver Tyler Lockett has agreed to a reconstructed contract with the Seattle Seahawks, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
According to Garafolo, his reconstructed contract will be a two-year, $30 million deal with a max value of $34 million and nearly $13 million guaranteed in 2024. His previous contract was a four-year, $69 million deal he signed in 2021.
Last season, Lockett had 894 receiving yards and five touchdowns, both his lowest marks since the 2017 season.

Lockett's contract was set to carry a $27.8 million salary cap hit, which was nearly $17 million more than the 2023 season, prompting the Seahawks to take action. While Lockett will make less per year than he would have under his previous deal, he will get $13 million guaranteed after having no guaranteed money before the restructuring.
Now, Lockett will return to Seattle for his 10th season after speculation around whether the Seahawks would cut him due to his hefty salary cap hit.
Drafted by Seattle in 2015 out of Kansas State, Lockett has notched 7,994 yards and 59 touchdowns across his career. He had four straight 1,000+ receiving yards from 2019 to 2022, and he'll be looking to put up that kind of production again in 2024.
