Brock Bowers Says 15-20 Members of Colts Attended His 2024 NFL Combine Interview

Georgia tight end Brock Bowers met a lot of new faces during his formal interview with the Indianapolis Colts at the 2024 NFL scouting combine.

Bowers revealed that roughly 15-20 members of the Colts organization were present during his meeting with the team, according to A to Z Sports' Destin Adams.

Indianapolis owns the No. 15 overall pick and could potentially grab the standout tight end if he falls down the board on the first night of the draft.

Bowers told reporters on Thursday that he's met with "about 15 teams" at the combine, per Jim Wyatt of tennesseetitans.com.

It's not difficult to see why teams are enamored with the 21-year-old, as he's the consensus top tight end prospect in the 2024 class. Despite appearing in just 10 games due to an ankle injury, Bowers recorded 56 catches for 714 yards and six touchdowns during his 2023 campaign.

In the two seasons prior, he hauled in 119 receptions for 1,824 yards. He was the winner of the John Mackey Award in both 2022 and 2023, which is given to the nation's best tight end.

Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department ranked Bowers as the No. 1 tight end and No. 2 overall player in his draft class on the latest big board. B/R Scout Derrik Klassen highlighted his impressive athletic ability, which can make up for his size limitations.

"Bowers isn't exactly built like a traditional Y tight end, but that's OK," Klassen wrote. "Everything he offers athletically more than makes up for lack of ideal size. Bowers is a truly special player with the ball in his hands who can instantly transform any passing game."

It seems as though the Colts agree, and the team could attempt to pair him alongside young quarterback Anthony Richardson after his promising rookie season was cut short by a season-ending shoulder injury.
