WWE News: Massive Backstage Heat on WWE Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne
A few months ago, WWE Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne got himself in some hot water with management when he failed a Wellness test, believed to have been triggered by his use of synthetic marijuana.
In case you haven’t been able to tell, Bourne has taken a massive slide down the card since his suspension ended, hardly even appearing on TV.
Well, as it turns out, there is more to Bourne’s continued absence on RAW and SmackDown than meets the eye.

From the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestleNewz.com):
"There is heat on Evan Bourne after Triple H confronted him a few weeks ago, blaming him for the story getting out about R-Truth’s suspension being for fake marijuana or spice, as well as how they were smoking it together.
It’s said that Triple H is not a fan of Bourne but Stephanie McMahon thinks he brings something unique to the table. Even with Stephanie’s support, there is whispers within WWE that Bourne is about to be the next Paul London – a guy with talent who is going to be broken mentally by the system.
There is also heat on Bourne because of the idea that you are not supposed to publicly show frustration with company and some feel that he has done that through Twitter at times.
"
Ouch. That sounds like a really good way to make yourself an outcast among the boys.
It’s been pretty obvious that Bourne is in the WWE doghouse, but I wasn’t sure why. Now, it appears as if Bourne is being viewed as somewhat of a rat, who basically brought R-Truth down with him.
That doesn’t bode too well for Bourne’s WWE future.
I’m with McMahon in thinking that Bourne is a special superstar whose in-ring skill set is different from any other WWE superstar, thus making him an asset to the company. But he isn’t exactly a main-event level talent and is certainly expendable.
Bourne may not be released anytime in the near future, but it doesn’t look like he’s going to get a spot on TV (and certainly not a push) either, especially when you consider that Triple H isn’t behind him at this point.
While Bourne dug his own grave, you have to feel bad for Kofi Kingston.
He and Bourne really had something going before Bourne was suspended, but now, Kingston has seen his role on TV diminish significantly as a result of Bourne’s wrongdoing.
I wouldn’t be remotely surprised to see Air Boom drop the WWE Tag Team Championship in the near future, likely to Epico and Primo in a match that could take place within the next few weeks.
