NFL Rumors: Jets FA Bryce Huff, Eagles Agree to 3-Year, $51M Contract
After a breakout 2023 season with the New York Jets, defensive end Bryce Huff has found a new home.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed Huff to a three-year, $51.1 million deal. Per Spotrac, Huff has made just $6.4 million in his four-year career, so Monday's deal is a massive payday for the former undrafted free agent.
Huff played in all 17 games this past season and made the most out of his limited time on the field as a situational pass-rusher. He recorded 29 total tackles and led the Jets with 10 sacks, both of which were career highs.

Following his impressive campaign, Huff made it clear that he believes he proved his worth and he would seek a contract that would reflect that. He told reporters he wouldn't give the Jets a hometown discount because "I worked so hard. I feel like I owe it to myself my family and the people around me to maximize my earnings."
Huff did just that by signing with Philadelphia, which is coming off an 11-6 finish last season and a loss in the NFC Wild Card Round. He will bring his pass-rushing acumen to a defense that totaled 43 sacks in 2023.
Pairing Huff with star pass-rusher Haason Reddick will be a dangerous combination that will cause nightmares for opposing quarterbacks as the Eagles compete for a playoff spot next season.
