Troubled Chicago Cubs starter Carlos Zambrano may find a new home in Miami soon.
According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the Miami Marlins are close to acquiring the Cubs veteran.

Zambrano has had good moments with the Cubs, but his bad moments, which have included flareups and comments off the field, have made his stay in Chicago rocky.
Zambrano's latest ugly incident came on Aug. 13, when he plunked Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones after giving up five home runs in the Cubs' 10-4 loss.
He was ejected from the game, in turn cleaning out his locker and telling reporters that he was "retired." After he backtracked, Cubs management put him on the disqualified list for 30 days.
Said Cubs general manager Jim Hendry at the time, via ESPN:
""His actions last night were totally intolerable. This was the most stringent penalty we could enforce without a release."
"
New Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein had just told WGN Radio on Wednesday that Zambrano was on thin ice.
Said Epstein, via MLBlogs.com:
"“The Carlos Zambrano of 2011 and years previous can’t fit into the culture that we have here. Change needs to happen and change will happen. Either he’ll change and buy in and fit into this culture — and I understand there are a lot of skeptics around about that, and I understand that, and frankly, I’m skeptical as well. He needs to prove to us that he can change and be part of this culture or we’ll change the personnel and move forward with people who are proud to be Cubs and treat their teammates with respect, treat the fans with respect and can be part of a winning culture in the Cubs’ clubhouse.”
"
Apparently Epstein's mind is made up.
The question is, was this the right move for the revamped Marlins, who just landed pricey shortstop Jose Reyes?
Given the fact that Zambrano registered a 4.82 ERA last season and is known as a clubhouse menace, I'm leaning toward, "No."
